Overview: Under the sponsorship of the Joint Staff J8, Joint Requirements Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear Defense (JRO-CBRND), The United States Army CBRN School hosts the Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD) Senior Staff Planner’s Course at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri.
 
The CWMD Senior Staff Planner’s Course (SSPC) will provide senior CBRN Officers, NCOs, and civilian personnel a continuing professional education in Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction and is open to all branches of the military. The target audience for this course are senior CBRN personnel, EOD, Engineers, Military Police, Military Intelligence, Medical, and Functional Area 52.
 
The CWMD SSPC focuses on providing Service specific CBRN Organizational capabilities, real-time threat and plans briefings, targeting information, protection, environmental concerns, CWMD, Homeland Security information sharing, planning at Division and Higher Headquarters, and existing intelligence on the current threats. All attendees are required to have a valid SECRET clearance.
