The health, welfare and safety of our service members, civilians and families is our highest priority.

Fort Leonard Wood is taking proactive steps and adhering to the guidance outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Defense Health Agency to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command leadership implemented additional screening procedures across basic combat training, including the 43rd Adjutant General Battalion, to identify trainees who are at risk for COVID-19 exposure prior to sending them to their basic combat training units.

This additional screening assesses a trainee’s exposure to COVID-19, international travel, and a medical screening for COVID-19 like symptoms within CDC guidelines.

We are following all proper protocols and are working closely with federal, state, and local public health personnel to protect the health of our community and maintain operational readiness.
