Driving Directions
Fort Walker is located in eastern Virginia. Take Exit 104 from Interstate 95 and drive east on Virginia Route 207 and U.S. Route 301 for approximately 13.5 miles to the main gate. After passing Bowling Green, Virginia, turn left after the large stone Fort A.P. Hill sign in the median strip. To obtain a visitor's pass, you will need the following documents:
- Picture ID -- driver's license.
- Vehicle Registration.
- Proof of Insurance.
- Assignment or TDY orders (Military or Civilian workers only -- not required for visitors.)
* Note that vehicle registration and proof of insurance are required only if you are driving your privately owned vehicle or a rental vehicle onto Fort Walker. If you are using public transportation such as a taxi or shuttle bus, those documents are not required.
