CSM Michael E. Bailey hails from Ft. Worth, Texas and is a graduate of Western Hills High School. He enlisted in the Army on 21 July, 1998, as an Infantryman, the military occupational specialty (MOS) 11B. CSM Bailey attended Basic and Advanced training at Fort Moore, Georgia.
CSM Bailey served in numerous assignments and positions in and out of the continental United States. His previous assignments includes Rifleman and Team Leader B Co 1-4IN at Hohenfels, Germany; Instructor/Writer 2-29IN at Fort Moore, Georgia; Squad Leader at 1-30IN at Fort Moore, Georgia; Instructor/Writer Tactics Certification Course at Fort Moore, Georgia; Iraqi National Police Training Team Operation Sergeant; Airborne Instructor at Fort Moore, Georgia; Platoon Sergeant 2-1IN at Joint Base Lewis McCord; Infantry Branch Sergeant at Fort Knox, Kentucky; First Sergeant 1-21IN, 1-27IN, and HHC BDE at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Integration Sergeant Major Asymmetric Warfare Group at Fort Meade, Maryland; Operations Sergeant Major 2nd Battalion 5th Security Force Assistance Brigade at Joint Base Lewis McCord; Deputy Commandant III Armored Corps Non Commissioned Officers Academy at Fort Cavazos.
