The Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP.gov) works to ensure Service members, their eligible family members, and overseas citizens are aware of their right to vote and have the tools and resources to successfully do so - from anywhere in the world.

The Fort A.P. Hill Installation Voting Office can answer any questions regarding voter registration and provide General Election and Primary dates for State and Federal Elections. The office will assist you in filling out the necessary forms to register to vote and vote absentee.

Any Soldier, Spouse, Voting Age Dependent and DoD Civilian can log onto FVAP.gov or visit the Installation Voting Office and do the following:

  • Fill out a Federal Post Card Application (FPCA) to register a voter for their county and State of residence.
  • If registered, voters can also fill out a form to change their address to notify the registers office where voting material may be sent.
  • Download an Absentee Ballot (FWAB) from FVAP.gov if a ballot from the State is not received in time for the election.

The Installation Voting Office is located in the Headquarters building.
