COL Jeremy Wilson
Deputy Commander - Maneuver
Col. Jeremy Wilson was commissioned as an armor officer upon graduation from the Citadel in 1996. Wilson's initial assignment was with 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team ("Raiders"), 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. There, he served as a tank platoon leader, mortar platoon leader, company executive officer and assistant S3 (plans). Wilson would be reassigned to 1st Squadron, 7th United States Cavalry, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas. While there, he served as the B Troop commander and Headquarters and Headquarters Troop commander. In 2004, he deployed his troop in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom as part of the 5th Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division.
After completing Naval Command and Staff College, Wilson would be assigned to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division ("Raiders"), at Fort Carson, Colorado. During this time, he deployed to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, conducting operations in both Regional Command-West and Regional Command-South.
Wilson returned to 4th ID to command 1st Battalion, 68th Armor, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, from July 3, 2013 to July 31, 2015. During his time with the "Silver Lions," he supported the Global Response Force mission and deployed to Operation Spartan Shield, conducting missions in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and across the U.S. Central Command area of operations.
Upon graduating from the Army War College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, he was then reassigned to the National Training Center at Fort Irwin, California, where he served as the Chief of Staff. In 2018, Wilson assumed command of the 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, Texas, where he led the brigade deployment in support of Operation Atlantic Resolve. Wilson would go on to serve as the Chief of Staff for the 4th ID from July 2020 - June 2022. Wilson currently serves as the Deputy Commander - Support for the 3rd ID.
Wilson is a graduate of both the Naval Command and Staff College, Newport, Rhode Island, and the Army War College, Carlisle, Pennsylvania.
