What to expect at the MRC.

It will take you 7 days to in-process and you MUST be in uniform (ACU/OCP, boots, PC).

PT is every morning from 0630-0800 while in-processing and you need to be in PT uniform.

Drinking alcohol is prohibited to all Soldiers at the MRC. No drinking in the barracks, at bars, etc.

NOTE: All Soldiers will take a diagnostic APFT prior to leaving MRC.

What do I need to bring with me to report?

The original copy of your signed DA-31

1 copy of the orders that brought you to FS/HAAF

1 copy of any amendments

CAC Card

Copy of any profile (if applicable)

What if I need a ride from the airport?

MRC personnel can pick you up from the airport.

Normal shuttle times are: 1100-1300,1800-1900, and 2300-0100

Shuttles only occur if the MRC Staff Dutydesk has been informed that there is people needing shuttle transportation.

Taxi fare from the Savannah-Hilton HeadAirport will cost approximately $75, which is reimbursable with a receipt.

When do I have to report?

You must sign in to the MRC no later than 2359 on the day your leave ends as annoted on your DA 31 ~OR~ the report date annoted on the official orders brining you to FS/HAAF (WHICHEVER IS EARLIER).

Do I have to be in uniform to report?

No, you can report in either civilian clothes or uniform.

When and how do I get a barracks room?

Single Soldiers (E1-E5) will be assigned an MRC barracks room upon arrival.

Soldiers receiving BAH will NOT reside in the barracks unless request is approved by the MRC Commander and will only be in cases of severe extenuating circumstances.

Privatized housing is available on post for single and unaccompanied SSGs and above.

You are NOT authorized PTDY for house hunting while in-processing at the MRC. PTDY will be granted at your gaining unit after in-processing.

What ranks get VIP in-processing?

Leaders in the ranks of SFC (P) and above, CPT (P) and above or a CPT who is taking command, CW2 (P) and above will be on the VIP in-processing schedule.

When can sponsors come to the MRC?

Sponsors can meet their incoming Soldiers on Day 3 from 11:30-11:45am in front of the MRC.

MRC starts a new cycle of incoming Soldiers almost everyday. Below is the schedule by day number, but this is what we do weekly:

Every Monday 1SG briefing

Every Friday (or last duty day) Saftey briefing

Every Tuesday PT with the Division CSM

Height and Weight is done on Mondays and Wednesdays

APFTs are done on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

There's also a Newcomer's Fair every other week. It's held at Club Stewart.

0915 @ MRC Then to Drivers Training (Bldg 162) for those 25 and younger.
1300 @ MRC 350-1 & Safety Training



0915 @ MRC Then to the Soldier Service Center (Bldg 253) for in-processing all day until 1400.



0915 @ MRC Then to the Soldier Service Center for more in-processing at the Soldier Service Center all day until 1630.



0915 @ MRC then to CIF (Bldg 2916). If this is your first duty station, you'll be going to (Bldg 86) ACS at 1400.
