Fort Polk Police
The Fort Polk Police Department is a professionally trained, positive, community customer focused Army law enforcement and access control organization that is responsive to the needs of not only the commander but the civilian community. The Director of EMergency Services is the chief law enforcement office on the installation and provides the community with 24 hour police support to maintain good order and discipline, safety and security for all those who live and or work on Fort Polk.
Administrative and Records Section
To obtain a copy of your Military Police report, you must request it under the Freedom Of Information Act/Privacy Act. The Point Of Contact may be contacted at (337) 531-1612.
All requests for background checks must be submitted in writing accompanied by a letter of authorization. Three duty days later the checks can be picked up at the Directorate of Emergency Services Administration section.

Game Enforcement Section
The Game Enforcement Branch supports Provost Marshal Operations by enforcing wildlife laws and regulations, controlling hunting, trapping and fishing access to the Wildlife Management Areas (WMA's), issuing permits, maintaining statistics and conducting hunting orientation and safety classes. Additionally the section enforces animal control regulations and assists stranded or lost sportsmen.
Hunting and Fishing permits are free if a hunter or fisherman has a valid state hunting or fishing license.
The Game Enforcement Section is located at Building 8590 at Alligator Lake on North Fort Polk.
