1st Battalion, 222d Aviation Regiment serves as the student battalion, conducting Soldierization training by focusing on Army values, physical conditioning, warrior tasks and battle drills, and the Warrior Ethos of Army Aviation.

LTC Chris Sood graduated and received his commission in December 2005 through the Army ROTC program at the University of Pittsburgh, PA. CSM Curtis Anderson was born in Portland, Jamaica, and enlisted in the active Army in November 1997.
