John J. Henderson, Civilian Personnel Advisory Center
John J. Henderson was appointed as Director, Civilian Personnel Advisory Center at Fort Novosel, Alabama, as an employee of the U.S. Army Civilian Human Resources Agency as of Oct. 14, 2018.
Henderson is a 30-year civil service employee with experience in the Department of the Air Force, Defense Logistics Agency, Defense Commissary Agency and most recently served as the Human Resources Officer over the second largest VA Healthcare System in the Department of Veterans Affairs located in Dallas, Texas. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from University of Maryland, European Division and a master’s degree in Public Administration from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, Illinois. Additionally, he is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) Certification from the Human Capital Institute.
Henderson’s military experience includes four years active duty in the U.S. Air Force, three years in the Army National Guard in Illinois and New Jersey, and six combined years as a volunteer with the Tennessee State Guard and the Texas State Guard.
