Sgt. Maj. Devon M. Weber, AMCOM Combined Logistics Command
Sgt. Maj. Devon M. Weber is a native of Pocono Lake, Pennsylvania. He enlisted in the United States Army September 1996 as a CH-47 helicopter repairer (67U). He completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia, where he was awarded the military occupational specialty of 15U, CH-47 helicopter repairer.
Weber’s primary military education includes the Basic Leader Course, Advanced Leaders Course and Senior Leaders Course. His additional military education includes the Enlisted Combat Skills Assessment and Selection Course (Green Platoon), Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Level C Course, High Risk Survival School, Water Survival Training Course and Cold Weather Survival Course. Additionally, Weber has completed the Aviation Maintenance Manager Course, Contracting Officer Representative Course, Aviation Safety Course, Flight Engineer Instructor Course, Cadre Training Course, TRADOC command Course, BN CSM Development Program, and the NTC Observer Controller Course . Finally, he has completed the Basic Airborne School, Master Resiliency Trainer Course, Battle Staff, and is a graduate of the United States Sergeants Major Academy (Class 67). Weber also holds an associate’s degree in applied science and business management.
Weber’s early assignments include Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served as a mechanic, crew chief and flight engineer instructor for MH-47E helicopters; Republic of South Korea, where he served as a MH-47E standardization instructor and platoon sergeant; and Fort Lewis, Washington, where he served as a MH-47G platoon sergeant and battalion production control supervisor. Weber later returned to Fort Campbell where he served as a flight company and Higher Headquarters Company first sergeant. Weber attended the Sergeants Major Academy in El Paso, Texas, and then proceeded to take command at 1-13th Aviation Regiment at Fort Rucker. Following Fort Rucker, Weber served as the senior enlisted aviation trainer at the National Training Center, Fort Irwin, California. Weber has deployed on numerous occasions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom and various contingency operations worldwide.
Weber’s award include the Distinguished Flying Cross, Bronze Star Medal with Valor device, Bronze Star Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Meritorious Service Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters, and Air Medal with Numeral 4.
