Dental Care
Brown Dental Clinic , located at Bldg. 4405, Innkeeper Street, is a 22-chair dental clinic and dental laboratory designed to provide First Term Dental Readiness care to the Initial Entry Training Soldiers as well as Readiness and Wellness care for permanent party Soldiers. Veterinary Care
Fort Novosel Veterinary Services, part of the Gulf Coast District Veterinary Command, has the food inspection mission of providing food hygiene, safety and quality assurance to protect the health of military personnel from food-borne illnesses.
The Veterinary Treatment Facility, Building 9402 on Dust Off Street, provides limited outpatient services for privately owned animals.
Privately-owned animals are examined, immunized, and treated for diseases that may be transmitted to humans and cause a health problem for the military community. All animals housed on post must be registered at the VTF within three days of arrival and must be microchipped.
Pets are seen by appointment only and must be preregistered. The facility is closed the last working day of each month for inventory. Services are provided to active duty Soldiers, retirees, reservists on orders for active duty 72 hours or more, and Family members.

Army Substance Abuse Program
The Army Substance Abuse Program team is committed to helping Soldiers and civilians at Fort Novosel with any substance abuse problem. ASAP, located at Lyster Army Health Clinic provides:
- Education and awareness instruction to military and civilian personnel
- Biochemical testing, which is urinalysis and breath analysis, for 50 military units and 25 agencies on the installation
- Employee assistance program services for all DA civilians, retirees, and Family members
- Clinical services to include individual, Family, and group therapy
- Command and supervisor consultation for all commanders, directors, and supervisors of Soldiers and DA civilians
- Outreach education to schools, civic organizations, municipalities, and counties in the Wiregrass that need substance abuse awareness education and coordination.
