Lt. Col. George T. (Travis) Rabb grew up largely in North Carolina and enlisted in the North Carolina National Guard in 1997, later receiving his commission as a U.S. Army field artillery officer from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina, in May 2000. Command Sgt. Maj. Chris Margiano was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He was raised in Queens, New York, and graduated from Francis Lewis High School in Flushing, Queens. After working as an electrician for eight years, he joined the Army in May 2000.
