Sgt. Maj. Brice A. Jackson, 1-58th Airfield Operations Battalion

Sgt. Maj. Brice A. Jackson is a native of Oakland, California, and he enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2001 as an aviation operations specialist, 15P.

Jackson completed basic combat training at Fort Benning, Georgia, advanced individual training at Fort Rucker, Alabama, and Airborne School at Fort Benning in 2001.

Jackson is the battalion sergeant major for the 1-58th Aviation Regiment. He previously served as a section sergeant, detachment operations NCOIC, BAE/ADAM Cell NCOIC, detachment first sergeant, and company first sergeant five times.

Jackson’s stateside assignments include Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2-82nd Aviation Regiment, 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade, 82nd Airborne (ABN) Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina; TRADOC Flight Detachment, Fort Eustis, Virginia; HHC, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd ABN Division, Fort Bragg; USASOC Flight Company, Army Special Operations Aviation Command, Fort Bragg; 597th Support Maintenance Detachment, 164th Theater Airfield Operations Group, Fort Rucker; Sergeants Major Academy (Class 72), Fort Bliss, Texas. His overseas assignments include HHC, 1-228th Aviation Regiment, Joint Task Force Bravo Honduras; A, D Co. and 5th Det. 603rd Aviation Support Battalion, 1-3rd Attack Reconnaissance Battalion, 12th CAB, Katterbach Kaserne, Germany; B Co., 1-214th General Support Aviation Battalion, 12th CAB, Katterbach Kaserne, Germany. He has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, and Operation Enduring Freedom – Horn of Africa.

Jackson's military education includes the Aviation Operations Specialist’s Course (15P) (HG), Airborne School, Combat Life Saver Course, Warrior Leader Course, Information Assurance Officer Course, Unit Prevention Leader, Advanced Leader Course, Sling Load Inspector Certification Course, Raven B Operator and Master Trainer Course, Senior Leader Course (DG), Static-line Jumpmaster School, Joint Firepower Course, Battle Staff NCO Course, Company Level Pre-Command Course, Sexual Harassment / Assault Response and Prevention Course, Digital Training Management System Course, Joint Enlisted Professional Military Education I and II, the Unit Level Inspector / Unit Level Examiner Course and the Resident Sergeants Major Course (CL). He is a recipient of the Order of Saint Michael (Bronze). He has a Bachelor of Arts in leadership and workforce development from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
