“forged to lead!”

The Noncommissioned Officer Academy - Joint Base Langley-Eustis is an institution that develops highly trained, fit and disciplined aviation NCOs, returning them to their organizations as trusted, competent U.S Army professionals ready to aggressively enforce the highest standards of readiness while accomplishing the mission.

600-MA-C45 (NS) is a dynamic leadership course that develops NCOs for the next level of leadership in the unique and continually changing world of aviation maintenance. During the 31 academic days (split into two concurrent phases) of this course, NCOs are challenged and evaluated day in and day out, while being instructed and tested on topics such as operational environment, NCO core competencies, quality control, and aircraft weight and balance. Phase one of this course includes 55 hours taught in a virtual learning environment with our professional Small Group leaders from here at Fort Eustis. Phase two takes place immediately upon completion of phase one, and upon the students arrival at Fort Eustis.

NCOs must arrive fit, disciplined and ready to train in order to be successful. This includes having all required paperwork on report day, and participating in the day-to-day instruction, keeping focused all the way through graduation.

During your training you will be placed in leadership positions and evaluated by your peers and small group leaders. At the completion of the course, you will receive an academic evaluation report that will reflect your performance under the Total Soldier concept.

You will be tested on your ability to be in the right place, at the right time and in the right uniform.  A professional appearance and positive attitude is expected at all times.
