Sergeant Major John R. Bonilla, Sergeant Major, Organization and Personnel Force Development

SGM Bonilla, John R., is a native of Riverside, California, enlisted in the Army on 09 July 1997 as an 11M Mechanized Infantryman. He re-classed in September 1999, to become a 67R (15R) Attack Helicopter Repairman (AH-64), at Fort Eustis, Virginia.

SGM Bonilla is a graduate of United States Army Sergeants Major Academy to include Primary Leadership Development Course, Advance Leader Course, and Senior Leader Course. He is also a graduate of the Basic Instructors Leaders Course, Master Resilience Trainer Course, and Battle Staff Course. 

 SGM Bonilla’s deployments include two deployments to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom and three deployments to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Freedom Sentinel. He has also deployed to Germany in support of Inherent Resolve.
