1st Sgt. Brandon R. Renner, Deputy Commandant, NCOA Fort Novosel

First Sergeant Brandon R. Renner enlisted in the U.S. Army in March on March 8, 2006. He completed Basic Training at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Eustis, Virginia and was awarded the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 15T, Black Hawk Helicopter Mechanic.

Renner’s previous assignments include 4-3 Assault Helicopter Battalion, Savannah, Georgia, where he served as a mechanic and non-rated crewmember for the UH-60L Blackhawk; 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington, where he served as a squad leader, section sergeant, technical inspector, battalion safety NCO, and the MH-60M maintenance platoon sergeant; the 601st Aviation Support Battalion, Fort Riley, Kansas, as the Headquarters Support Company first sergeant; 2-158 Assault Helicopter Battalion, Joint Base Lewis-McChord, as the Delta Company first sergeant; and 46th Aviation Support Battalion, as the Bravo Company first sergeant.
