The Internal Review and Audit Compliance Office is the commander’s professional audit capability. IRAC internally audits the installation and tenant organizations to identify, analyze, and resolve known or suspected problems. IRAC performs both scheduled audits and quick-reaction reviews as requested by commanders, directors, and staff officers.
IRAC provides command liaisons and support for auditors who visit Fort Novosel, such as personnel from the U.S. General Accounting Office, U.S. Army Audit Agency, and the DOD Inspector General. IRAC performs follow-up audits to check on effectiveness of corrective actions.
