Engineering Division

The Engineering Services Division manages construction projects for the DPW within the garrison. The division provides technical advice and assistance to the  Fort Moore Garrison leadership and staff concerning construction, repair, and/or maintenance projects within the garrison footprint. Provides overall project management and design services for all construction, repair or maintenance projects beyond the scope of the base operations maintenance contractor.

Construction Inspection Branch

  • Performs inspection of contract work during progress and at completion for compliance with plans and specifications, assuring compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintains work approval and final acceptance. Coordinates contractor payments with DOC and DRM
  • Assists DOC and JAG in settlement of contractor vs. government disputes and testifies in court proceedings as a professional witness for the government.

 

Project Design

  • Performs engineering and planning services in fields pertaining to recurring and non-recurring projects.
  • Coordinates preliminary scopes, budget estimates and completion date for engineering projects and services.
  • Provides engineering safety inspections of facilities such as building structures and bridge structures, repelling towers, and obstacle courses.
  • Provides structural inspections for all Arms Rooms on the Installation

Project Development Branch

  • Coordinates project development with user.
  • Prepares ROM estimates.
  • Coordinates preparation of Form 4283 and FB Form 144 with user.
  • Prepares cost passing memos for the users, DPW and DRM.
  • Works closely with other DPW branches to effectuate a smooth work flow process.

Operations & Maintenance

Plans, coordinates and accomplishes maintenance, repair and improvements to buildings, structures, roads, railroads, hardstands, improved/unimproved grounds and drainage systems. Responsible for the programming and repair of all community utilities systems. Manages utility/energy monitoring and control systems and the energy program. Provides custodial services, solid waste collection and disposal and pest control services.

Infrastructure Maintenance and Repair

Mechanical/Electrical Engineer is located in building 6, room 320 D.

Traffic, Roads, Bridges & Dams

Performs professional engineering/architect duties n planning and managing repair and maintenance of installation buildings and structures such as:

  • Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Systems
  • HVAC
  • Boiler/Hot Water Heaters

Environmental Management Division

Fort Moore Environmental Management Division interprets laws and regulations to develop installation policies and objectives, sustain mission requirements, analyze actions and assure environmental compliance. This includes developing contract specifications, setting program priorities and objectives, budgeting for requirements, providing technical expertise, and directing the execution of environmental programs. 

Master Planning

Directs the Garrison master planning functions while performing planning and programming of the installation/facility development and stationing plans, facility utilization, property releases, acquisition, conversion, diversion, relocation, and disposal. Also coordinates planned developments with other agencies, staff proponents, master planning boards, higher headquarters and state authorities.

Real Property Master Plan

Responsible for developing and revising the Installation Real Property Master Plan. AR 210-20, Real Property Master Planning for Army Installations.

Business Operations & Integration

The Business Operations and Integration Division is responsible for the complete and overall functioning of the DPW. Develops, implements and monitors processes for work flow, maintenance and repair programs, personnel, budget, resource management, and logistics.
