0600 15 March: The Presidio of Monterey is open for Wednesday, March 15. Power remains intermittent across POM and part of the Ord Military Community. Some installation services remain limited or closed. Monterey Road Child Development Center is closed today due to power outages and road closures. Please call ahead to check service provider status. Service members should report for duty in accordance with their chain of command guidance. Civilian personnel should report for duty as directed by supervisors. Road closures are likely. Check routes before travel.
2100 12 March: The Presidio of Monterey and Ord Military Community is limited to weather essential personnel only on 13 and 14 March 2023. Liberal leave and telework are authorized. Employees should contact supervisors for reporting instructions. Services at POM and OMC remain limited. Please call ahead to check service provider status. More adverse weather is imminent over the next 48-72 hours. Road closures are likely. Check forecasts and routes before travel.
1520 10 March: PG&E estimates power will be restored on the Presidio and La Mesa on or about 10 p.m. on 10 March. Installation services on the Presidio and the La Mesa housing area remain limited. Please check with service providers for status.
0640 10 March: Due to severe weather conditions in Monterey and the total loss of power on the Presidio of Monterey, access to the Presidio of Monterey is restricted to weather essential personnel only on Friday, 10 Mar 23. POM Child Development Center and Child Youth Services remain open. Please contact your supervisor for guidance.
