TOWER COMMITTEE

Mission
The USAAAS Tower Committee is committed to ensuring Jumper and Jumpmaster Currency and providing and training to the Airborne Community. The Tower Committee provides Basic Airborne Refresher (BAR), Jumpmaster Refresher (JMR), and facilitates the use of the 34 Foot Jump Towers.
Basic Airborne Refresher (BAR)
Who: Paratroopers must attend BAR if they have not exited an aircraft within 180 days. USAAAS BAR must be attended by the following:
- Paratroopers who have not exited an aircraft within 24 months (BDE Level BAR may be attended if between 6-24 months)
- Paratroopers newly assigned to the 82d Airborne Division
- Recent graduates from the Basic Airborne Course
- Paratroopers who have never jumped the T-11 ATPS
- All Multi-National Partners planning to conduct parachute jumps utilizing US aircraft and US parachutes
- All personnel outside of the 82d Airborne Division regardless of time since last official static line jump
Location: USAAAS at the Suspended Harness Facility
Time: In-processing 0845. Training will commence at 0900
New Equipment Training (NET) will immediately follow the conclusion of BAR for Paratroopers who have not jumped the T-11 ATPS.
Equipment: ID cards; ID tags; serviceable ACUs/OCPs/other service uniform; authorized helmet, with appropriate suspension pads and chin strap assembly; serviceable boots; beret; hydration source; ALICE pack or MOLLE with frame, (must ensure that pack is completely filled to accommodate rigging procedures and the large MOLLE must have an E-Tool carrier and E-Tool secured or an outer accessory pouch); HSPR; HPT Lowering Line. ALL OF THESE ITEMS OF EQUIPMENT MUST BE THEIR OWN AND SERVICEABLE. PARATROOPERS WILL NOT CONDUCT TRAINING WITHOUT ALL EQUIPMENT BEING SERVICEABLE.
Jumpmaster Refresher/Transition Training (JMR/TT)
What: the consolidation of both Jumpmaster Refresher (JMR) and T-11 Transition which lasts 4 days.
Who: Jumpmasters who have fallen out of currency (consult CAASOP) and Jumpmasters who have not been certified on the T-11 ATPS.
Location: USAAAS
Time: In-processing will begin at 0845, and training will start at 0900. Students will be given a Nomenclature Examination first thing. Some students may be afforded the opportunity to complete the course on day two, predicated upon their ability to complete the required POI and test out on JMPI, time permitting.
What to Bring: ID cards; ID tags; serviceable ACUs/OCPs/other service uniform; authorized helmet, with appropriate suspension pads and chin strap assembly in jumpable configuration; serviceable boots; beret. PARATROOPERS WILL NOT CONDUCT TRAINING WITHOUT ALL EQUIPMENT BEING SERVICEABLE.
JUMPMASTERS IN ATTENDANCE MUST BE CURRENT JUMPERS AND PROVIDE A CURRENT DA FORM 1307 WHICH REFLECTS CURRENCY. JUMPMASTERS MUST ALSO PROVIDE A COPY OF THEIR JUMPMASTER CERTIFICATE OR 5W ORDERS.
Note: JMR is not an ATRRS reservation course. If your unit is not located on Fort Bragg and you have a Jumpmaster who would like to attend JMR, please contact the schoolhouse and we will assist with the coordination.
Tower Training
The 34' towers can be utilized for unit training by coordinating through USAAAS. Units must submit a DRAW and CONOP one month prior to the proposed date of the training. Please contact USAAAS for more information.
