Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS)

The Virtual Clearance Training Suite (VCTS) is to provide individual and collective training for Counter-Improvised Explosive Device (C-IED) missions to Route Clearance Units in a virtual environment. The individual / crew training curriculum consists of 40 hours of basic and advanced route clearance training scenarios. With a wide variety of environmental conditions and virtually any type of terrain imaginable the VCTS system will provide route clearance company soldiers with experience in any situation they are likely to encounter. Training conducted at the VCTS is route clearance, convoy operations, and stabilized gunnery.

Training

Unit POC must conduct a coordination meeting with the VCTS operator 3- weeks (NLT 2-weeks) prior to the training date.   Be prepared to discuss training plan, terrain, vehicles, weapons, and types of contacts to be encountered. Refer to the VCTS SOP located on our website for unit requirements and device training capabilities.
