Command Sgt. Maj. Billy D. Webb
Command Sergeant Major Billy D. Webb assumed duties as the Command Sergeant Major of V Corps on 24 August 2020. Prior to his arrival at Fort Knox, Command Sergeant Major Webb served as the Command Sergeant Major of the Combined Joint Special Operations Taskforce Afghanistan, from May of 2019 to January 2020.
Command Sergeant Major Billy D. Webb entered the United States Army on 21 January 1991. His first assignment was with Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Aviation Brigade, Fort Ord, California, where he served as an Ammunition Technician in support of the division range requirements. In August 1992, he was reassigned to 529th Ordnance Battalion, Vilseck, Germany, and served as a Squad Leader in charge of an Ammunition Supply Point. In October 1995, CSM Webb went back to Advanced Individual Training to become a Medium Helicopter Repairer (67U), attending school at Fort Eustis, Virginia. In February 1996, he was reassigned to Alpha Company, 7-101st Aviation Battalion, Fort Campbell, Kentucky, where he served as a CH-47 Crew Chief and, later, as a Flight Engineer. In January 1998, CSM Webb was reassigned to Bravo Company, 214th Aviation Regiment, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, where he served as a Flight Engineer and Unit Trainer. He returned to Fort Campbell in January 2001 and was assigned to Charlie Company, 7-101st Aviation Regiment, where he served as Maintenance Platoon Sergeant and, later, as the forward-deployed First Sergeant in Kosovo.
In May 2002, CSM Webb was selected and assigned to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne) and has since served in various positions and companies to include Crew Chief, Flight Engineer, Flight Engineer Instructor, and Platoon Sergeant in Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 160th SOAR(Abn), Fort Campbell, Kentucky; First Sergeant of Alpha Company, 1st Battalion and Bravo Company, 2nd Battalion, 160th SOAR(Abn), Fort Campbell; Sergeant Major for the Special Operations Training Battalion (SOATB), Fort Campbell; Command Sergeant Major for 3rd Battalion, 160th SOAR(Abn), Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; 101st Airborne G-3 SGM; Regiment Command Sergeant Major for 160th SOAR (Abn), and Command Sergeant Major of the U.S. Army Special Operations Aviation Command (Abn).
CSM Webb's military education includes all Primary Leadership Development Courses to include the Joint Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 4); USSOCOM Summit Course (Class 9); Nomative Leaders Course, Keystone, U.S. Army First Sergeant Course; Special Operations Forces Senior Enlisted Course; Instructor Training Course; Survival, Evasion, Resistance, and Escape (SERE) High Risk (Level C) Course; Advanced SERE Course; Water Survival Training Course; Flight Engineer Instructor Course; Airborne School; and Air Assault School.
