Recycling Supports the Army Mission
Located on the corner of Georgia and Maine at Buildings #3620/3622, the JRTC & Fort Johnson Recycling Center is open from 0830 to 1530 Monday through Friday. For questions, call the Recycling Center at (337) 531-7556.
The JRTC & Fort Johnson Recycling Center accepts the following:
- White Copy Paper
- Mixed Paper (newspaper, cardstock, food boxes, etc.)
- Cardboard
- Used Cooking & Motor Oil
- Aluminum Cans
- #1 Plastic Bottles
- Lead Acid Batteries
- Used Ink and Toner Cartridges
- Usable Office Supplies – goes to the Office Supply ReStore, located inside the Recycling Center’s Bay #2
- Usable Packaging Supplies – goes to the Packaging Supply ReStore, located at the Recycling Center
There is a 24/7 Drop Off Point at the entrance of the Recycling Center for Cardboard, #1 Plastic, and Aluminum. The Recycling Center does not accept hazardous waste, solid waste, or documents including personally identifiable information (PII).
Notice: In order to ensure paper documents do not contain classified information, to include personally identifiable information (PII), a declaration statement must be filled out when turning in white copy paper. The unclassified document declaration statement is available for download here.
