The mission of the Army Community Service (ACS) center is to facilitate the commander’s ability to provide comprehensive, coordinated, and responsive services that support readiness of Soldiers, civilian employees and their Families. ACS maximizes technology and resources, adapts to unique installation requirements, eliminates duplication in service delivery, and measures service effectiveness.
USAG Italy ACS provides numerous programs and resources for Service Members (all branches, including active duty, guard and reserve), their families, retirees and DoD civilians Programs and services provided by ACS include: Army Emergency Relief (AER), Army Family Action Plan (AFAP), Army Family Team Building (AFTB), Army Volunteer Corps (AVC), Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), Employment Readiness Program, Family Advocacy Program (FAP), Financial Readiness (FRP), Information & Referral (I&R), Military Family Life Counselor (MFLC), Mobilization, Deployment & Support Stability Operations (MD&SSO), New Parent Support Program (NPSP), Relocation, Survivor Outreach Services (SOS).
Under AR 930-4, Army Emergency Relief provides EMERGENCY financial assistance in the form of a non-interest bearing loan, grant, or a combination of the two.

The Exceptional Family Member Program is a mandatory enrollment program that works with ilitary and civilian agencies to assist families with special needs by providing comprehensive and coordinated community, housing, educational, medical, and personnel services. The ACS CENTER coordinates, integrates, and manages the installation EFMP for the commander. The regulation that covers EFMP is AR 608-75.
The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) is a committed group of professionals who are dedicated in supporting military, civilians, and their families. We specialize in supporting challenges of the modern day, unique to the military environment. We offer a variety of robust, fun and interactive programs.
The Financial Readiness Program offers information, education and counseling to enhance individual’s abilities to manage money, debt and credit, and investments.
Information & Referral (I&R) provides the community with information regarding available resources as well as ACS programs and events.

The New Parent Support Program (NPSP) is led by a dynamic group of nurses who are ready to be the first to welcome you to parenthood. This energetic program is designed for expecting parents and children through the age of three.
The Relocation Readiness Program provides assistance with relocating to and from Vicenza, including but not limited to borrowed items from the Lending Closet. Relocation also offers cultural integration, language classes, and additional resources.
