Lieutenant Colonel Patrick J. Taylor is from Ft Walton Beach, FL, he enlisted in 1995 as an OH-58D Helicopter repairer, serving with the 2nd Squadron 17th Cavalry Regiment and 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne). He subsequently attended Middle Tennessee State University on a four year Green to Gold Scholarship and was commissioned as an Aviation Branch 2nd Lieutenant in May 2003.
LTC Taylor is rated in the OH-58 A/C, AH-64D, UH-72A, and Mi-17 aircraft. His military education includes: USN Surface Rescue Swimmer School, the Aviation Captain's Career Course, SERE C, AH-64D Instructor Pilot Course, the Army's Command and General Staff College, the Joint Firepower Course, the Joint Air Operations Command and Control Course, USAF Instructor Course, Echelons Above Brigade Airspace Course, and Aircraft Qualification Courses.
