The Fort Irwin Transition Center facilitates the Soldier’s transition from Military to Civilian life.
We service the Western Region that not only includes Fort Irwin but parts of California, Utah, Arizona and Nevada. Most of our population consists of “Out of Towners”, those who reside outside of Fort Irwin. Our population consists of Active Duty, Army Reserve, and National Guard Soldiers. Our goal to work with the Soldier so they can separate with an accurate DD214.
Prior to processing through the Separation Center, you are required to take the Online Separation Brief as soon as you have been identified for separation.
Click the 'Online Separation Brief' link below to start the Separation Brief, and return to this page once completed. You will then download the 'DA Form 4187 - Request for Separation' and 'Memorandum of Understanding'. Complete these documents and email them to the Separation Center to initiate your separation process.@mail.mil) DA Form 4187 - Request for Separation Memorandum of Understanding Checklists for your convenience:
