COL JEANETTE MARTIN
Colonel Jeanette A. Martin graduated from Fort Valley State University, Fort Valley, Georgia, with a degree in Criminal Justice. She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Adjutant General’s Corps in 1996. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Human Relations from Oklahoma University, Norman, Oklahoma, in 1998, as well as a Doctorate in Human Services in 2016 from Walden University, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
She has served as the Company Grade and Warrant Officer Manager, Headquarters, 21st Theater Area Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany; the Battalion S1/Adjutant, Headquarters, 191st Ordnance Battalion (AMMO), Miesau, Germany; the Battalion S3, Commander, Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment (HHD) and Bravo Detachment, 502d Personnel Services Battalion (PSB), 3rd Personnel Group, Fort Hood, Texas; the Chief, Officer Management Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2d Infantry Division, Uijonbu, Korea; the Deputy, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate and Readiness Officer and the Chief, Personnel Branch, 8th Personnel Command (PERSCOM), Seoul, Korea; the Readiness Officer and Deployment Cycle Support Officer, National Guard Bureau, Pentagon, Washington; the Deputy, XVIII Airborne Corps Branch and the Executive Officer to the Director, Enlisted Personnel Management Directorate, Human Resources Command (HRC), Alexandria, Virginia; and the Brigade S1, 4th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (IBCT), 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia, where she also deployed as the IBCT S1 to Ramadi, Iraq. She commanded the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade’s Special Troops Battalion, Fort Bliss, Texas and Bagram, Afghanistan, followed by a two-year tour at the Human Resources Command as the Chief, Active Component Distribution Branch and Chief, Adjutant General’s Corps Branch.
COL Martin is a graduate of the following military schools: the Adjutant General Basic and Advanced Courses, U.S. Army Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Command and General Staff College (Intermediate Level Education), and the Human Resources Management Course. She is a recent graduate of the National War College.
COL Martin’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (6th award), Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters, Army Achievement Medal with four Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korea Defense Service Medal, Military Outstanding Voluntary Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (4th award), Meritorious Unit Citation, Joint Staff Badge, and Army Staff Badge.
COL Martin is the daughter of Mrs. Katherine Yates and Mr. Dennis Jones of Thomaston, Georgia.
