Postal Services – The Official Mail and Distribution Center (Central Mailroom) is located in Building 306, across the hall from the U.S. Post Office.  The mission of the Central Mailroom is to serve and support the Fort Irwin Leadership, Soldiers, Civilians, and Families of the Fort Irwin community in support of official mail, routine correspondence and distribution, and Soldier personal mail.  Central Mailroom personnel train and test unit mail clerks and postal officers on their duties and responsibilities. The Central Mailroom inspector conducts announced inspections of unit mail rooms on a quarterly basis.

Freedom of Information Act/Privacy Act Services -  The FOIA/PA Office responds to written requests for Fort Irwin records submitted under the Freedom of Information Act or Privacy Act. Additional Information is provided on the Fort Irwin FOIA/PA webpage.

NTC Publications and Forms Services-  Electronic copies of installation publications and forms are available by accessing the Army NTC Portal at The Fort Irwin Publications and Forms Office provides installation proponents with guidance and assistance in preparing properly formatted publications and forms for publishing.

Records Management Services - Provide guidance in Army records management and disposition using information contained within the Army Records Information Management System (ARIMS). Create and manage the installation office symbols. The ARIMS website (includes on-line training) and is accessible at  ARIMS is a role-based system managed and operated by the US Army Records Management and Declassification Agency (RMDA).  Its primary purpose is to provide authorized personnel with web-based tools and technology to manage both hardcopy and electronic Army records.
