The 46th Annual Fort Hood Retiree Appreciation Day

Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the 46th Annual Fort Hood Retiree Appreciation Day (RAD) will be hosted virtually.  Beginning the week of 26 October, please visit www.forthoodretiree.com and click on the RAD button where you will find all of the latest information on issues affecting you and your Families.    

Pre-Retirement Orientation Briefing

This briefing is MANDATORY for retiring military personnel.  There will be a group presentation and County Fair.  Representatives from Retirement Services, Veterans Affairs, Texas Veterans Commission, Troops to Teachers, Soldier For Life – Transition Assistance Program, TRICARE and other agencies will be available.

Survivor Benefits Plan (SBP) Briefing

In accordance with Title 10, USC Public Law 920425 all Soldiers are REQUIRED to be briefed.

The Survivor Benefit Plan allows a retiree to ensure, after death, a continuous lifetime annuity for their dependents. The annuity which is based on a percentage of retired pay is called SBP and is paid to an eligible beneficiary. It pays your eligible survivors an inflation-adjusted monthly income.

Location:  Copeland Soldier Service Center, Room B114

Time:  0930 – 1030  (2d and 4th Tuesday of each month, except for Federal Holidays)

III Corps & Fort Hood Retirement Celebration

Participants of the Retirement Celebration must complete and return the Bio worksheet to the RSO NLT the 25th of the month prior to the month of the Retirement Celebration. The celebration is held at Club Hood.  RSVP IS REQUIRED.
