U.S. Army Garrison Hawaii will conduct third-party inspections of all Army family housing units from May 27 to Aug. 1, 2025. These inspections are mandated by Congress and are required for all homes located on Army installations.
Certified inspectors contracted by the Army will assess the overall condition and safety of housing units. This includes a visual inspection of both the interior and exterior of homes. Inspectors will avoid capturing personal photos, residents, or pets in inspection photographs.

Resident Responsibilities:
• Residents must schedule their home inspection during the session that includes their neighborhood.
• The online scheduling tool will open April 22.
• Beginning April 21, door hangers containing a QR code linked to the scheduling tool will be distributed to all homes.
• Residents must be home at the start of their scheduled inspection window and must secure pets prior to the inspection.
• Inspectors will activate all smoke detectors and require access to all rooms, including garages.
Failure to schedule an inspection in advance will result in an escorted inspection conducted by Army personnel. The Army maintains the legal right to access housing units for authorized purposes.
