IC Card checks/Trusted Traveler
Fort Gregg-Adams conducts ID checks of all adults (18 years and older) entering the post, with the exception of those vouched for under the Trusted Traveler program.
.Those already entered into the system with a valid access pass, or possessing a Common Access Card (CAC), Military ID, Military Dependent ID, or a federal government-issued PIV, may enter post as normal.
Anyone coming to Fort Gregg-Adams for the FIRST TIME without a federal identification card, or with an expired access pass, MUST go to the Visitor Control Center with a valid government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license) to receive an initial background check. The VCC is open 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily, except holidays. No passes will be approved after normal operational hours.
FIRST TIME visitors may expedite this process by using the Automated Installation Entry website (see below) before coming to Fort Gregg-Adams..
Automated Installation Entry website
Potential visitors who do not have a DoD ID card will be able to pre-register for access online using the Automated Installation Entry website.
Once vetting is complete, applicants will receive a reply letting them know if access is granted or denied.
The VCC will contact the sponsor to validate the visitor's request and the sponsor's responsibility for their guests prior to the guest being authorized access to the installation. All adults are required to possess a valid photo ID. All juveniles without valid ID must be accompanied by an adult family member.
To learn more about how the AIE site works, read our story.
Drivers must be able to present upon request:
- Valid driver's license
- Current vehicle registration
- Proof of current insurance
For more information, please select an option below:
By requesting access to a government installation or facility, you are agreeing to a background check through the National Crime Information Center Interstate Identification Index – a Federal Bureau of Investigation database that provides criminal histories from all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Individuals subject to background screening must have one of the accepted forms of identification in their possession. The process is accomplished with a bar-code scan. If more than one individual, age 18 and older, is arriving in the same vehicle, all passengers must present their identification for the scan.
All juveniles without valid ID must be accompanied by an adult family member.
Anyone planning a visit to Fort Gregg-Adams who will likely be denied access due to any of the derogatory reasons listed under the About the NCIC Background Check tab, can request a waiver prior to their arrival.
