Command Sgt. Maj. Nickea K. Harris
Command Sergeant Major Harris is a native of New Orleans, Louisiana. She enlisted in the U.S. Army in 2002. She completed Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Lee, Virginia as a Food Service Specialist 92G. In 2009, she was assessed into the Army Acquisition Corps as a Contingency Contracting NCO 51C. CSM Harris’ assignments include 2-3 Aviation Brigade, Hunter Army Airfield, Georgia; 23rd Area Support Group, Camp Humphreys, S. Korea; United States Disciplinary Barracks, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; 411th Logistic Support Vessel, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; 603rd Senior Contingency Contracting Fort Shafter, Hawaii; 918th Contingency Contracting Battalion, Fort Carson, Colorado; 408th Contracting Support Brigade, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait; 413th Contracting Support Brigade, Fort Shafter, Hawaii, and the 921st Contracting Battalion, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii.
CSM Harris’ deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom (2002-2003), (2008-2009), and Operation Inherent Resolve (2015-2016).
CSM Harris’ military education includes Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, NCO Leadership of Excellence Sergeant Major Academy, Army Acquisition Basic Contracting Course, Army Intermediate Contracting Course, and Battle Staff. She is Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level III Certification in Contracting. CSM Harris civilian education includes a Doctorate of Business Administration in Project Management from Walden University, a Masters of Arts in Procurement and Acquisition Management from Webster University, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Resource Management/ Business Management from Park University. CSM Harris is a member of the prestigious Sergeant Audie Murphy Club and Distinguish Order of Saint Martin Awardee.
