Education & Counseling Services

Education Services and programs are available at the Education Center and Multi-Use Learning Facility. Active-duty military, reserve component military, retirees, Department of the Army civilians and their adult family members may receive counseling, information about financial aid and local programs, and enrollment in selected programs. Services

Multi-Use Learning Facility (MLF): The MLF is a computer resource facility providing CAC enabled computers available for training and educational usage. 

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 8:00– 11:30 a.m. and 12:00- 4:00 p.m.; Wednesday 1:00- 4:00 p.m.

Computers available for individuals who wish to:

  • Pursue Distance Learning Programs 
  • Type term papers 
  • Perform official work when unit/office computers are not available 
  • Produce slide shows for briefings/classes 
  • Prepare class assignments
  • Access the Internet for research 
  • Complete Trainings

Counseling:

  • Education, career, and guidance counseling
  • Military Occupational Specialty
  • Financial aid, grants, and scholarship information.
  • Montgomery GI Bill, Veterans Education Assistance Program (VEAP)
  • Post 9/11 GI-Bill education benefit program information.
  • ROTC Green to Gold Program, AMEDD and Physician Assistant information.
  • Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP)
  • Transcript Evaluation
  • The counselor will use the ArmyIgnitEd website to maintain educational record.

Testing: 

  • Army Personnel Tests (APT) are available by appointment only.  Testing appointments are available Wednesday – Friday. 
  • 4187 must be provided before appointment can be confirmed.
  • AFCT: Armed Forces Classification test to improve GT scores
  • SIFT Flight aptitude test
  • TABE- Test of Adult Basic Education
  • College credit by examination is available to all Active duty and reserve component military personnel FREE of charge (CLEP and DSST). Retirees, Department of the Army civilians and all adult family members may be administered college credit-by-examinations for a nominal charge.
  • DLPT and DLAB are administered off-site, please work with your S1 to request a DLPT or DLAB.
