The Fort Drum Field Office is a tenant unit located on Fort Drum that reports to the 902nd Military Intelligence Group. The 902nd MI GRP is a brigade-sized unit of the United States Army, under the command of the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), headquartered at Fort Meade, Maryland, with an operational focus on counterintelligence. INSCOM is a direct reporting unit that conducts intelligence, security, and information operations for U.S. Army commanders and national decision-makers headquartered at Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Mission:

The Fort Drum Field Office conducts counterintelligence (CI) activities such as investigations, operations, collections and analysis to detect, identify, assess, counter, neutralize or exploit foreign intelligence entities and insider threats in order to protect U.S. Army Forces, technologies, information and infrastructure. On order, the staff provides tailored CI support to overseas contingency operations.
