Abandoned vehicles will go on auction in September
An auction of abandoned privately owned vehicles will take place Sept. 24-26 on Fort Drum. Vehicles can be viewed at the lot on the corner of Third Street East and Lewis Avenue on South Post from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on auction days. Place your bid using the form at the vehicle lot.
Minimum bid is $500. If multiple bids are made, the highest bid will be accepted. All bids will be read and winners will start receiving notifications on Sept. 30. Payments will start on Oct. 1. Tied bids will be determined by first received.
Vehicle offers must be accepted or declined on first offer (no second looks). If organizers are unable to contact the winning bidder and a message is left, you will have 24 hours to respond. No response implies that the Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation will move on to contact the next highest bidder. Winning bids must be paid for within 24 hours, and all vehicles must be removed within 48 hours of notification.
Cash or credit card payments will be accepted. All vehicles will be sold in as-is condition.
This vehicle auction is conducted in accordance with Federal Law 10 USC 2575 and applicable DoD and DA regulations concerning disposition of abandoned personal property. FMWR will not warrant either physical condition of the vehicle nor the purchaser’s ability to obtain state title and/or registration.
