 Soldiers from Fort Drum spend time
 over holidays with veterans in Syracuse

 

Outreach 1 cr wb.jpgFORT DRUM, N.Y. – The 91st Military Police Battalion’s Unit Ministry Team conducted a community outreach event at the Syracuse VA Medical Center on Dec. 23, 2019. The purpose of the event was to inspire a people-focused ministry and community-building in support of honoring military veterans.

Twenty volunteers from the 91st MP Battalion and 642nd Engineer Detachment continued the high honor and privilege to serve and support our military veterans by listening to their stories, distributing homemade cookie bags prepared by the 91st MP BN Family Readiness Group, and providing music and song by Sgt. Jorge Rivera.

While the veterans were happy to see service members in uniform, the Soldiers valued the time and sacrifices of veterans in service to our country.
