Change of Command between COL Efrem Z. Slaughter and LTC Lindsey E. Halter on June 28, 2019.

The tradition of the passing of the colors from the outgoing commander to the incoming commander symbolizes the relinquishing of responsibility of Devens Reserve Forces Training Area by Colonel Slaughter and the assumption of responsibility of command to Lieutenant Colonel Halter.

The colors represent not only the unit but also the unity and loyalty of its Soldiers. The colors are the Commander’s symbol of authority, representing his responsibility to the organization. The custodian of the colors is the Command Sergeant Major.
