Mission

Container/Convoy section supports the issuing, receiving, maintenance and accountability of the Installation deployable container assets and processes off post convoy clearances through the Joint Task Force and Texas Department of Transportation.

 

Container Information

  • U.S. Army Sustainment Command SOP for Issuing of Convention for Safe Containers (CSC) Re-Inspection Decal (DD Form 2282), at the Local Army Field Support Battalion (AFSBn)/ LRCs dated 16 November 2018, is rescinded. Effective 1 June 2024, 407th AFSB organizations will no longer provide CSC decals to tenant’s units on the installation. 407th AFSB elements are to only manage requirements related to Army Intermodal and Distribution Platform Management Office (AIDPMO) containers. External unit requirements are to follow DTR and AR 56-4 guidance and coordinate for CSC decals request through AIDPMO by e-mailing usarmy.scott.sddc.mbx.g3-aidpmo-maintenance@army.mil

  •  ​​​​​All deploying containers must be Container Safety Convention certified through redeployment.

  • If unit doesn’t have enough containers (depending on MTOE) they can request deployable containers from AFSBn-Cavazos.
