WHAT IS PHANTOM JUSTICE?

The purpose of military law is to promote justice, to assist in maintaining good order and discipline in the armed forces, and to promote efficiency and effectiveness in the military establishment, thereby to strengthening the national security of the United States.
The military justice system provides an accused rights and due process. Service members have a right to free military counsel when questioned as a suspect of committing an offense, upon preferral of court-martial charges, or initiation of arrest or apprehension.
