The Environmental Division is responsible for developing and implementing the Installation’s environmental programs, preventing pollution, as well as conserving and sustaining both natural and cultural resources. In addition to overseeing all environmental activities for the Installation, the Division provides training for Soldiers and Civilians to ensure that all operations are in compliance with environmental laws and regulations and educates the Fort Cavazos community on how their daily activities impact the environment.
The Division’s staff is comprised of engineers, environmental protection specialists, biologists, archeologists, and contractors supporting the Installation’s mission, quality of life for Soldiers and their Families as well as overall environmental quality. The Environmental Division is comprised of Fort Cavazos Recycle, Environmental Management Branch, Natural and Cultural Resources Management Branch, Energy Branch, National Environmental Policy Act, Sustainability, and Outreach.
