Mission

Direct and coordinate installation garrison operations and training support activities while providing force protection, mobilization and demobilization / reserve component training support, force management, operational planning and emergency operations functions, and oversight of personnel, information and industrial security in order to provide a focused training environment for III Armored Corps and other mission customers.
 

Function

Our function is to provide command and control for emergency management response and consequence management operations.  Manage and schedule live, virtual and constructive training capabilities IAW III Armored Corps priorities and policy, including ranges, training areas, mission command training and training aids / devises. Manage mobilization / demobilization operations, supervise the execution of Force Protection and Antiterrorism Program. Manage personnel security and clearances, industrial security and classified holdings functions. Develop and execute installation emergency response and consequence management plans.  Provide force management support for force modernization, force structure and test actions.

Plans and Operations Division

Direct and coordinate garrison current operations and C2 for the installation Antiterrorism / Force Protection and all hazards emergency response and consequence management operations while operating the Fort Cavazos Installation Operations Center 24/7 and when required the Emergency Operations Center.  Provide contingency planning support; Deployment, readiness and ceremony support; and stationing support to enable Fort Cavazos commanders to train and deploy their units and take care of their Soldiers, families, civilians and retirees.

Training Division

Provide seamless support of the full spectrum of operations enabling live, virtual and constructive training of joint / combined expeditionary forces in support of the senior commander's training objectives and requirements.

Mobilization Branch

Develop and execute the Fort Cavazos mobilization plan; assist FORSCOM in the programming of Fort Cavazos mobilization / demobilization throughput; manage daily operations of the North Fort Cavazos Mobilization Training Center; plan, coordinate and execute future development of North Fort Cavazos MTC; coordinate life support systems in support of mobilization and demobilization operations; provide training support to Reserve/active component units and other government agencies; assist supported commands in validating units for deployment.
 

Mobilization Support Brigade

The Mobilization Support Brigade executes ADCON by providing sustainment for Army Reserve and National Guard units and Soldiers mobilizing and demobilizing at Fort Cavazos in support of overseas contingency operations.

Security Division

To provide procedural advice, assistance and oversight for information security, personnel security, industrial security, mobilization support and continuous security education, training and awareness for all tenant units and Garrison activities on the installation.
