BG Davis' key staff assignments were in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault), Afghanistan- Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom; Eighth United States Army, South Korea, First Cavalry Division, Iraq-Operation Iraqi Freedom; Sustainment Center of Excellence, Fort Lee, Virginia; Deputy Chief of Staff, G-4, Washington D.C.; and the Defense Logistics Agency, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.
His education includes receiving a commission as a distinguished military graduate from Valley Forge Military College in Wayne, Pennsylvania, in 1991. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the Virginia Military Institute, Lexington, Virginia, in 1994. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Webster University, Master of Science Degree in National Defense from the United States Army Command and General Staff College, and Master of Science in National Security and Strategic Studies from the National War College.
