Sponsorship 

Ensures Soldiers (Pvt. to Col.) and their families are assigned sponsors prior to reporting to their next duty station. Obtaining a sponsor reduces the stress of reporting to a new unit, enhances resiliency and improves readiness among Soldiers and family members.

Cavalry Family Housing is a vibrant, master-planned community located at Fort Cavazos. FORT CAVAZOS HOUSING SERVICES OFFICE

The Fort Cavazos Army Housing Services Office is available to assist all active-duty Soldiers and family members assigned to Fort Cavazos on permanent change of station orders. Services include:

FORT CAVAZOS MILITARY ONESOURCE ⚠

Here, you’ll find out how to handle household goods, manage your pet and guidelines on the shipping process. Your installation may have details on the documents you’ll need when shipping household goods. If available, your installation provides specific instructions on shipping your vehicle. Check transportation for additional information on your vehicle.
 

Installation Transportation Office

The Installation Transportation Office delivers services to Soldiers, family members and civilians by managing the shipment and storage of household and providing official passenger travel services. The  ITO plans, coordinates and executes unit deployments/redeployments by air, rail, line haul, convoy and sea; and provides non-tactical vehicle fleet management in support of the Fort Cavazos Power Projection Platform.

Personal Property Processing Office

The Personal Property Processing Office is responsible for the counseling activities associated with outbound shipments and/or storage of personal property for service members/dependents and DOD civilian employees.

Personal Property Quality Assurance 

The Personal Property Quality Assurance office ensures Transportation Service Providers and their respective representatives perform in accordance with Defense Personal Property Tender of Service and meet all regulatory requirements. Additionally, the office is the liaison between the customer and the TSP and provides assistance with the claims process.

Temporary Lodging/Hotels ⚠

Temporary lodging at Fort Cavazos is under contract to IHG Army Hotels; the reservation desk is at phone number 254-532-5157. IHG Hotels have a great many amenities and are on post. Rooms are pet-friendly for an additional fee, with vaccination records.
 

TRICARE EAST ⚠

Fort Cavazos is covered by Tricare East/Humana Military. For more information, please call 1-800-444-5445.
