Fort Cavazos is a community made up of those who serve and have served. Soldiers, families, retirees and civilians all play a role in providing services, programs, and facilities that enhance readiness. Fort Cavazos is a Great Place to live, learn and grow as individuals and as part of a great team.

This free event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Thursday at the Lone Star Conference Center, Building 5764, located at 24th Street and Wainwright Drive (just off Tank Destroyer Blvd adjacent to Frank Mayborn Gate/ACP 2).
This event includes remarks from the commanding general, remarks from the garrison commander and two breakout sessions. These sessions are the agency briefing for Soldiers and the Spousal Connection for those family members who attend.
Soldiers and family members who attend will have access to free childcare on-site
Service members may obtain more information by calling the Processing Control Station at 254-368-1768 or visiting Building 16008 on 42nd Street.
Child care is offered onsite from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Reservations are appreciated a week in advance, in the event we need adjust staffing and snack, but not necessary. We will accept children as walk-ins. Please contact 254-287-7273 for more information.

CAVAZOS CONNECTOR
Fort Cavazos is experiencing a transportation revolution with the launch of the Cavazos Connector, a comprehensive transit system designed to enhance the quality of life for Soldiers, civilians and their families. This fare-free service, currently rolling out in phases with the full launch set for March 2, promises to reshape the daily experiences of the Fort Cavazos community.

The Defense Commissary Agency operates a worldwide chain of commissaries providing groceries to military personnel, retirees and their families in a safe and secure shopping environment. Authorized patrons purchase items that are variably priced plus a 5-percent surcharge, which covers the costs of building new commissaries and modernizing existing ones. Shoppers save thousands of dollars annually on their purchases compared to commercial prices when shopping regularly at a commissary. A core military family support element, and a valued part of military pay and benefits, commissaries contribute to family readiness, enhance the quality of life for America's military and their families, and help recruit and retain the best and brightest men and women to serve their country.

The ID Card Office is located at Building 130, on the corner of Legends Way and TJ Mills. We are here to assist you with US ID Cards and DEERS enrollment. Soldier CACs are issued by the Brigade S1. Click on our link for detailed information and to schedule an appointment.
DINING FACILITIES
We have eight dining facilities (five on main cantonment, one on West Fort Cavazos and two on North Fort Cavazos), two food trucks and one kiosk located at Black Jack Dining Facility to serve you. EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES
Army education centers offer a wide variety of programs (certificates, Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees) through U.S. vocational-technical schools, colleges and universities. Professional education counselors assist Soldiers in developing and completing education goals and educational plans in a cost-effective, timely manner..
Fort Cavazos hosts a campus for Central Texas College, allowing Soldiers to attend classes without leaving post. Additionally, the surrounding area is home to Texas A&M - Central Texas, Baylor University, the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, Southwestern University, Temple College and many more, offering educational opportunities Soldiers won't want to miss.

HOUSING OFFICE
HOUSE WATCH PROGRAM
The Fort Cavazos House Watch program is a DES initiative aimed at giving Soldiers and family members peace of mind while they are away from their quarters for an extended period of time. When you place your quarter on the house watch list, that address becomes a security check for patrols assigned to that sector. A patrol will inspect the exterior of the quarters and identify if any windows or doors are damaged or if anyone has attempted to make entry into the home. They will also inspect outside storage facilities to ensure they are secure. To sign up for the program, download the participation form.
INSPECTOR GENERAL
The III Armored Corps Inspector General serves as an extension of the commanding general by providing him with an independent and impartial assessment of the readiness, morale, welfare and discipline of the command and report on other matters that impact upon the economy and/or efficiency of the Command.

The Military Personnel Services Division is involved in all of the activities of sustaining the human dimension needs of Soldiers, retirees, veterans and their families. Some of these activities include Soldier Readiness Processing and Central In/Out-processing, casualty affairs, separations, ID Card and DEERS services, retirement services, and the full spectrum of military personnel office services.

PREGNANCY AND POSTPARTUM PHYSICAL TRAINING
The Army Pregnancy Postpartum Physical Training Program, also known as P3T, is a standardized physical training and education program designed to enable pregnant and postpartum Soldiers to maintain fitness, according to the U.S. Army Public Health Center. RETIREMENT SERVICES OFFICE
The Retirement Services Program is designed to assist Soldiers and their families in their transition to retirement and to keep them updated on their benefits and entitlements after retirement. This includes active duty, retirees, spouses, dependents, widows, widowers, former spouses and veterans. A primary element of retirement services is proper and timely counseling on the career status bonus, Survivor Benefit Plan and Reserve Component SBP.
SAFETY OFFICE
Instill policies and procedures for a comprehensive Garrison Safety Program. Provide technical advice to the Garrison Commander and staff on integration of safety and risk management into all missions and functions within the command.
SEXUAL HARRASSMENT / ASSAULT RESPONSE AND PREVENTION (SHARP)

SOLDIER AND FAMILY ASSISTANCE CENTER ⚠
Located on 62nd Street near the hospital, the Soldier and Family Assistance Center is a one-stop location built to equip and aid wounded, ill and injured Soldiers who are assigned or attached to Warrior Transition Units. SFAC services help these Soldiers make life-changing decisions as they transition back to duty or on to civilian life.

TOTAL ARMY SPONSORSHIP PROGRAM
The Total Army Sponsorship Program mission is to help Soldiers and their families better integrate into the U.S. Army, and to assist them when they transition to different units. Sponsorship applies to all active component Soldiers in ranks E-1 through O-6. TASP ensures incoming Soldiers are assigned sponsors prior to reporting to their next duty station. Obtaining a sponsor reduces the stress of reporting to a new unit, enhances resiliency and improves readiness among Soldiers and family members.
TRANSITION ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
We provide transition and employment assistance to Soldiers and their adult family members who are transitioning from active duty.
