The Relocation Readiness Program offers a comprehensive support system to help you and your Family make permanent change of station (PCS) moves as smoothly as possible. The mission of the Relocation Readiness Program is to minimize the stress of relocation by offering information, skills and resources to Soldiers and Families that will simplify the moving process throughout their military career. Inbound Services

“Plan My Move” is an automated information system designed to provide relocation information on all military installations. ACS Welcome Center is located at 1501 William C. Lee Road (Gate 1). Hours of Operation, Monday, Wednesday - Friday 7:30 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Tuesday 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Fort Campbell maps, local area maps and directories are available free of charge. Local off post information and MWR activities are available to all military and Families living on and off post. We encourage newcomers to use the Welcome Center to customize their own welcome packet(s). Call (270) 798-6313 to schedule an appointment to visit the Welcome Center.

The “Soldier & Family Newcomers’ Orientation” is an interactive Family Orientation to welcome and inform arriving Soldiers and Family Members about resources available at Fort Campbell. The Soldier and Family Newcomers’ Orientation is a one-stop-shop for Newcomers information presented in one setting so Newcomers don’t have to drive all over the post looking for information. The Newcomers Orientation is held every Thursday at Cole Park Commons from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. The Orientation is mandatory for all Soldiers arriving to Fort Campbell and Family Members are strongly encouraged to attend.

Representatives from several agencies are present to provide important information for “Newcomers.” Agencies include Army Community Service (ACS), Fort Campbell Spouse Employment Center, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR), Chaplains, American Red Cross, Family Housing On/Off Post, School Liaison Officers, Child & Youth Services, and Medical and Dental. The Lending Closet offers a wide variety of basic household items on loan to incoming and outgoing personnel. Available items include dishes, pots and pans, sleeping mats, folding tables, folding chairs, irons, toasters, coffee pots, crock pots, baby items (booster seats/playpens), vacuum cleaners, cooking utensils and baking pans. Major appliances, microwaves, linens and furniture are not provided. An ID card and PCS orders are required to borrow items from the lending closet.

Incoming personnel may borrow items for up to 30 days. Upon request, an extension of an additional 30 days may be granted. Individual counseling is provided to Soldiers and their Families who are new to Fort Campbell. First Term Soldiers and their Families are encouraged to set up appointments for individual counseling.

Relocation staff will conduct a needs assessment to determine the services required and identify specific concerns. Individual counseling will address clients’ specific concerns, review courses of action, and determine the most beneficial approach for each client to help them settle in at Fort Campbell. Relocation Readiness provides a wide variety of relocation resources and offers guidance and suggestions to help resolve issues and concerns associated with moving to Fort Campbell. Follow-up appointments ensure clients’ needs are addressed.

Relocation can be emotionally and mentally demanding, time consuming, and expensive. Settling into your new location and your new unit takes time and preparation. A sponsor is someone from your new unit who is assigned to assist you in settling into your new location.

IAW AR 600-8-8, the Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) shall be executed to the fullest extent possible making it mandatory for Soldiers in the rank of Private (E-1) thru Colonel (0-6) and for civilians in grades GS-15 and below to participate in the Army Sponsorship Program.

To be assigned a Sponsor, call the Installation TASP Liaison (ITL) located at the Soldier Support Center at (270) 798-5250 or (270) 798-7272. Hours: Monday - Friday, 9 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. or email the ITL at ftckytotalarmysponsorship@army.mil.

Sponsorship Training: ACS Relocation Readiness Program conducts bi-annual Unit Sponsorship Coordinator (USC) train-the-trainer training. Training focuses on HQDA EXORD 018-12, "The Total Army Sponsorship Program" outlining procedures to complete the DA Form 5434, Sponsorship Program Counseling and Information Sheet, the role of the sponsor before and after newcomers arrival to include sample Welcome Letter, Sponsor Checklist and Needs Assessment Checklist, brief ACS programs and other resources that would be helpful to newcomers, conduct a multiple choice test to evaluate whether Soldiers fully understand their responsibilities as sponsors.

Requesting a Sponsor

The Total Army Sponsorship Program (TASP) is now accessible in Army Career Tracker (ACT) https://actnow.army.mil/wps/myportal/act/sponsorshiphelp/active/ to assist Soldiers, Officers, and DA Civilians during the transition to their new installation for assignment. Commanders now have the ability to guarantee the successful assignment of individuals through the streamlined Sponsorship process found only in ACT. TASP ensures that incoming Soldiers are assigned Sponsors prior to reporting to their new installation. Obtaining a Sponsor reduces stress of reporting to a new unit, enhancing resiliency and improving readiness among Soldiers and Family members. Information provided at the orientation includes: PCS process and procedures, financial entitlements, shipping household goods, port call, family travel, legal assistance for claims, and shipment of privately owned vehicles (POVs) and pets. Offered to Soldiers and Families moving within the Contiguous UnitedStates. Information provided at the orientation includes: PCS process andprocedures, financial entitlements, shipping household goods, and passengertravel. Smooth Move CONUS to CONUS Orientation is offered once a week, everyTuesday. Registration is required. Individual consultations are provided to Soldiers and their Families whoare departing Fort Campbell due to a PCS move. Hours for appointments are 1:30- 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Relocation staff willconduct a needs assessment to determine the services required and identifyspecific concerns. The Relocation Office provides foreign language CD’s for Soldiers and Families to learn the language of the country where they will reside overseas. Foreign language CD’s are loaned for 30 days and an extension may be granted for an additional 30 days.

The Fort Campbell Sink Memorial Library has access to online Mango language courses. There are (30) languages to choose from. To inquire and enroll for the free online Mango language courses contact the R.F. Sink Memorial Library at (270) 798-5729.

Waiting Families is for any Spouse and or Family Member 18 years of age orolder who cannot to travel with their Soldier on an overseas (unaccompanied)tour. Monthly emails are sent to each group member with information about specialevents, ACS classes, MWR functions, Schools, Employment, Medical/Dental, andEvents happening on and off post. Family members also receive follow-up phonecalls to see how they are doing.

For Families who relocate, the Waiting Families Program provides memberswith a liaison to keep them connected with the installation nearest to wherethey are living. Additionally, participants can connect with other Families andgrow their support network which can make a big difference during theseparation.

Multicultural Services

Citizenship Classes provide information and assistance to Soldiers andFamily Members applying to become naturalized citizens or requesting a certificateof citizenship. The class covers how to use the United States Citizenship and ImmigrationServices (USCIS) website (www.uscis.gov), complete theforms, and obtain answers to common questions. Citizenship classes are held onthe 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month from 10 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. at the Army CommunityService (ACS) Center. Registration is required.
