Basic Motorcycle Rider Course (BRC2)

The Installation Safety Office is offering motorcycle safety courses, Basic Rider Course and Basic Rider Course 2 in 2024. DA Civilians may register, though Active-Duty, National Guard, and Reservists have priority registration. The safety courses are not open to DoD Contractors.

Basic Rider Course (two-day course) Dates:

Tuesday, June 25 and Friday, June 28

Tuesday September 3, and Friday, September 6th

Tuesday, October 1 and Friday, October 4

Those who register for the Basic Rider Course must also complete the MSF eBasic Online Course within 30 days of their course date: https://msfusa.link/292428

Basic Rider Course 2 is offered in place of the Experienced/Advanced Rider Course at APG due to size constraints on our riding range. This is a 1-day course for Military Members (Active, Guard, and Reserve) and DoD Civilian Employees. It is unfortunately not available to DoD contractors. You must have a valid Motorcycle Endorsement or Motorcycle Learner Permit, Registration, Proof of Insurance. If you are using another person's motorcycle, you must have written permission from that individual. Helmets must be DOT Approved. Eye protection must be worn. Gloves must be full fingered. REQUIRED CLOTHING: Pants with no holes, rips or tears, a long sleeve shirt or jacket. FOOTWEAR: Sturdy over the ankle boots are required. Military issued boots may be worn.
