Just because you are stationed overseas does not mean you are not able to vote in your city, county, state, or federal elections. Voting is a fundamental right and should not be taken for granted. The Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) ensures service members, their eligible family members and overseas citizens are aware of their right to vote and have the tools and resources to successfully do so - from anywhere in the world.
Visit fvap.gov, your unit voting assistance officer or the installation voting assistance officer for assistance with voter registrations, mailing address changes and any voting needs you may have. USAG Ansbach encourages all U.S. citizens to vote and to assist in this process we have a designated Voting Assistance Officer (VAO) who is trained in the processes involved in submitting absentee ballots or registering to vote. The VAO will ensure that all citizens covered by the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA) understand their voting rights and how to register and vote absentee and provide accurate non-partisan voting information and assistance.
