The Ansbach Environmental Management Division is an integral part of the USAG Ansbach Department of Public Works (DPW). Our mission is to ensure the long term sustainability of the installation through compliance with Federal Environment laws and regulations, protection of natural and cultural resources, prevention of pollution, environmental training, environmental inspections and public outreach for the well-being of the Ansbach military community. An Environmental Management System (EMS) is a framework that helps our garrison achieve its environmental goals through consistent control of our operations and the goal of our EMS is to address the regulatory (both U.S. and German) requirements in a systematic and cost effective manner. This proactive approach helps mitigate the risk of non-compliance and improve health and safety practices for Soldiers, employees, and the public.
