The USAG Ansbach Security office provides security, information security, fingerprinting and foreign travel reporting support as well as timely travel warnings to U.S. Army Garrison Ansbach personnel and tenant organizations.

PERSONNEL SECURITY

Personnel security support includes initiating security clearance/background investigations and reinvestigations for garrison personnel.

INFORMATION SECURITY

Provide guidance on marking, wrapping, storing, transporting, transmitting and destroying classified information to garrison personnel and tenant organizations.

INDUSTRIAL SECURITY

Ensure appropriate measures and procedures are implemented to gain access to, handle or generate classified information during the performance of a classified contract or program.

FINGERPRINTING SERVICES

Fingerprinting services are provided by appointment in support of civilian and military background investigations (security clearance and suitability). A valid military ID, dependent ID card, U.S. passport or driver's license are required for fingerprinting services.

VISITOR ACCESS REQUEST

For those sponsoring individuals coming to USAG Ansbach to visit / access cleared spaces, share as a solid reference tool the "VAR-Postcard-Handout".

 For Ansbach Garrison personnel visiting cleared spaces at other sites / locations, use the linked: "JPAS_Visit_Notification_Request".  This template is designed to ensure the necessary clearances are properly transferred prior to arriving.

FOREIGN TRAVEL REPORTING

In accordance with AR 380-67, PERSONNEL SECURITY PROGRAM, all personnel possessing a Department of Defense security clearance must report foreign travel to the security office prior to travel being performed.

Upon completion of travel, personnel will report foreign contact when there is suspicion of attempts to attain information.

BEFORE YOU DEPART

Bring up the following link in your browser, and copy the PDF to your computer's desktop. Then open the PDF; fill in your travel information; take the training, and visit the recommended web links. From there, digitally sign the FTR & forward/email it to your Supervisor for their Foreign Clearance Guide (FCG)/Training review and digital signature.

WHEN YOU RETURN

Complete, then email the debrief (Part 3) of the report to the Security Office.
